How Stil classifies every design system change
Classification Model
The Gate Engine uses a rule-based classification model. Each change is evaluated against your design system constraints and receives one of three states: Safe, Review, or Blocked.
Impact Scoring
Every classified change includes an impact score that shows how many downstream components, tokens, or text entries are affected. Even safe changes can be escalated when their blast radius is large.
Custom Rules
Pro and Enterprise plans can define custom rule packs that match their governance policies. These rules decide which property changes stay safe, require review, or must be blocked.
